Founder, Thought Leadership Chair

Alexander Hans Hsu

  • Alexander Hans Hsu (he/him/his) is a first-generation German and second-generation Chinese American. He graduated from NYU with an MA in I/O Psychology in 2016. He has 5+ years of work experience in various contexts, including both internal and external roles for entities ranging from start-ups, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies. He has extensive experience conducting DEI related statistical analyses and is focused on creating impact. He is a Senior Manager of People Analytics at Beam Suntory.

 Professional Development Chair

Sophie AustÄ— Kay

  • Sophie A. Kay (she/her/hers) is a first-generation Japanese and third-generation Lithuanian American. She graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with her PhD in I/O Psychology in 2019, where her research focused on emotions, emotion regulation, and burnout. She currently works at Meta (formerly known as Facebook) as a People Research Scientist, doing quantitative and qualitative research to drive data-driven recommendations on many aspects of work, including performance, attrition, career growth, and distributed work.

Connectivity Event Chair

Sana Lall-Trail

  • Sana Lall-Trail (she/her/hers) is an employee engagement consultant at the Pokemon Company International. She holds an M.A. degree in I/O psychology from Hofstra University and has an applied research background in coaching and learning tech. Sana also has five-plus years of mixed-method academic research experience examining different facets of workplace behavior. She is passionate about leadership development and learning initiatives becoming tools to create a more equitable and supportive workplace.

Shannon Kaixin Cheng

  • Shannon Kaixin Cheng (she/her/hers) is a second-generation Chinese American. She graduated from Rice University with her PhD in I/O Psychology in 2021, where her research focused on DEI in the workplace, from the individual, interpersonal, and organizational perspectives. She  currently works at McKinsey & Company as a Solution Delivery Specialist, working to help companies address a variety of organizational topics, such as organizational design, culture, and inclusion.

Helen Chung

  • Helen Chung (she/her/hers) is an Assistant Professor of I/O Psychology at Seattle Pacific University and co-founder and principal of Pathways Coaching and Consulting. Helen’s research interests include leadership and diversity, narrative, subjective time, and values in the workplace. As a teacher-scholar and leadership coach/consultant, she strives to cultivate spaces where people of diverse backgrounds can come together to learn from each other and co-create more inclusive and just communities. â€‹
